Vincent Costa focuses on corporate and transactional work. He has successfully negotiated and closed a variety of complex corporate matters including business divorces, asset and stock purchases, and financings, specifically in the healthcare, retail, and technology sectors. He also has experience drafting and negotiating contracts for various business-related matters including non-competition, supply, distribution, licensing, and employment agreements.

Vincent’s practice also includes the representation of individual and corporate clients in labor and employment matters, including wage and hour disputes and employment discrimination matters before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and various state agencies, including the preparation of position statements and conducting internal investigations.  As a former general manager of a family-run business on Long Island, Vincent understands what business owners need from their legal advisors and he brings a practical approach to each client matter.

In law school, Vincent served as Editor-in-Chief of Touro Law Review and his Note, “Admissibility of Field Test Results at Trial to Prove Intoxication,” has been cited by New York State courts and criminal procedure treatises. He also focused on developing practical legal experience and skills outside the classroom by interning at the Brookhaven Town Attorney’s Office, at Touro’s Mortgage Foreclosure and Bankruptcy Clinic, in-house at a worldwide technology and software company, and at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, where he focused on white collar crime.
