Land Use and Zoning

As Long Island real estate attorneys, we take pride in the diversity of matters in which we serve our clients. Our clients include commercial buyers and sellers, commercial landlords and commercial tenants, brokers, developers, financial institutions, architects, and contractors, as well as municipalities, banks, and financial institutions. We provide hands-on representation in all aspects of real estate transactions, development, and land use, including negotiating commercial leases, purchases, sales, construction, and financing, obtaining zoning and regulatory approvals, and putting agreements in place with lenders, general contractors, construction managers, and subcontractors.

Representative Matters

The firm represents clients before Zoning Boards of Appeal, Planning Boards, and Town or Village Boards with regard to subdivisions, variances, and special use permits, and in court when challenges to land use and zoning approvals are the subject of Article 78 petitions. Our Land Use clients benefit from our years of experience in both the public and private sectors, representing municipalities, private businesses, and individuals. We have particular experience representing clients in a variety of land use matters on Long Island’s East End, working on a range of major commercial projects and zoning disputes.
