Lauren Kanter-Lawrence, Esq. is tasked with implementing all aspects of the communications and business development strategy of Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP, one of the fastest-growing law firms in the region.  She drafts and ensures the accuracy of all firm communications including press releases, newsletters, client advisories, the firm website, and other media.  She works closely with the firm’s senior attorneys on their business development initiatives, speaking engagements, and presentations, as well as drafting the content for these events.  Lauren works to make meaningful introductions between CMM attorneys and the business community, and is also tasked with developing relevant and interesting content for the firm’s well-attended Business Breakfast Series and other events.  Drawing from her legal experience, she also oversees the firm’s in-house continuing legal education program, devising the curriculum for the firm’s full calendar of courses.

Lauren joined CMM in 2008 as an Associate attorney and rose to Senior Associate practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and corporate transactions.  She has represented clients in complex state and federal litigation matters including actions involving RICO, zoning, discrimination, fiduciary duty, and breach of contract.  She also has extensive appellate experience drafting briefs and conducting motion practice before the New York State Appellate Division, New York State Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as well as petitions for certiorari to the United States Supreme Court.  Lauren is also experienced in drafting and negotiating contracts for a variety of corporate transactions and has represented clients before various state agencies including the New York State Department of Labor and Attorney General’s Office.

Prior to beginning her legal career, Lauren focused on writing and editing at a book development company, where her work was published by several major publishing companies.
