Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, a Forbes-recognized top corporate law firm with offices across Long Island, seeks a Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of relevant experience to work closely with high-net-worth clients of the law firm and a multifamily office. We are seeking an attorney familiar with estate and trust planning, estate administration, and general business tax, with an interest in sophisticated estate planning strategies. This position is based in our Ronkonkoma office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in the creation of estate plans for high-net-worth clients and draft estate planning documents

Stay up-to-date and be able to advise clients on relevant state and federal tax laws

Advise shareholders of closely held corporations on estate and gift tax issues, executive compensation issues, and business succession

Advise on charitable contributions and formation and operation of charitable foundations

Work closely with clients’ other professional advisors including legal, accounting, and finance

Assist with general tax planning for corporate clients

Probate administration and trust administration

Qualifications

Admitted to practice in NYS

At least 2 years of related experience
