Jeffrey Basso solves problems for business owners across Long Island and New York City as a litigator handling a wide variety of business and employment-related disputes. Jeff represents businesses, management, corporate officers and shareholders, investors, real estate developers, contractors, manufacturers, commercial property owners, and many others in a wide variety of litigation matters regarding simple and complex business and contractual disputes. He has significant experience prosecuting and defending matters on behalf of clients in actions involving high-stakes partner and shareholder disputes, business divorce and corporate dissolutions, mergers and acquisitions, employment contracts, non-compete agreements, trade secrets, fiduciary duties, breach of contract, wage and hour disputes, real estate transactions, investments, and construction disputes.
Since joining the firm in 2012, Jeff has resolved hundreds of business litigation matters by using litigation as a strategic tool to place clients in the best position possible to bring about a resolution. While taking a case to trial may be necessary in certain circumstances, he always looks for alternative and creative ways to effectively arrive at a desired result for his clients without the expense and risk of trial. Jeff also utilizes his knowledge and expertise litigating in New York to serve as local counsel to assist attorneys/firms outside New York with litigation matters commenced in New York.
