Hon. Andrea Harum Schiavoni focuses on commercial, family, and matrimonial mediation, real estate deals, and transactional matters for local East End businesses.

In addition to her work with the firm, Andrea serves as Southampton Town Justice. She was elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012 and 2016. In 2010, she was appointed to establish a Justice Court in the Village of Sag Harbor and serve as its first justice and, in 2013, was appointed by then-Chief Administrative Judge A. Gail Prudenti to start a Veterans Treatment Court on the East End. Andrea also speaks statewide as an authority in alternative dispute resolution, summary proceedings, and town and village court administration.

In law school, Andrea clerked for Florida State Attorney Janet Reno, Chief Juvenile Court Judge William Gladstone in Miami, and the Los Angeles County Public Defender’s Office. She began her legal career in Florida at the law firm of her father, Albert E. Harum, Jr., handling workers compensation and employment discrimination matters. Upon her father’s death, she became President of the firm, representing and opposing corporations such as DuPont, AT&T, American Airlines, and Florida Power and Light. Having represented hundreds of clients in mediation, Andrea developed an appreciation for the usefulness of mediation within the judicial system. She shifted her focus exclusively to alternative dispute resolution, working as a mediator and arbitrator from offices in Miami, Florida and Sag Harbor, New York.

When not in the courtroom or at the mediation table, Andrea can be found performing with her band, Big Street Jam, for which she is the female lead vocalist.
