As Firm Administrator, Nancy Conte plays a critical role in ensuring our team is managed efficiently and effectively. Having worked as both a paralegal and in management roles, Nancy has direct insight into the legal and administrative support required to efficiently handle client matters.
Nancy oversees our administrative and legal support staff to ensure that matters are staffed correctly. When there is a need for additional support, she facilitates the hiring of new staff as well as in-house promotions. She oversees case progression to verify that matters are being handled efficiently and that our clients are receiving excellent service.
Involved in all aspects of helping our team perform their best, Nancy also works closely with our IT department to ensure that our software is streamlined, beneficial to our needs, and to maximize its effectiveness. She is also responsible for implementing trainings on legal, procedural, and technology topics in coordination with our Business & Talent Manager. Using her experience from both a legal and administrative perspective, Nancy develops and improves firm procedures including client onboarding, case management, and clerical processes.
Prior to joining the firm, Nancy was a paralegal at an insurance defense firm in Manhattan. She joined CMM in 2015 as a paralegal in our litigation department and was promoted to Managing Paralegal in 2017 before taking on her current role as Firm Administrator. She is also a member of the Greater New York Paralegal Association (GNYPA) and serves as their Director of Legal Education, where she coordinates training events. Through her work with the GNYPA, she instituted the Paralegal Symposium Series which provides legal training to both aspiring and active paralegals as well as access to professional guest speakers.
