Well known in the Suffolk County legal community for decades, Gerald “Jerry” Lotto is a seasoned attorney who has successfully tried countless criminal and civil cases to verdict over the past 50 years in practice.
Jerry has achieved excellent results for both plaintiffs and defendants in civil matters, with a particular focus on personal injury and dental malpractice. His record-setting results include obtaining a $3,050,000 award for a wheelchair-bound plaintiff following a jury trial in 1995, one of the largest settlements in Suffolk County at the time; a $1,100,000 settlement on the eve of a jury trial in federal court for a man wrongfully denied disability benefits; and a $250,000 jury award in Suffolk County Supreme Court for damages to a single tooth.
Jerry has also defended many individuals accused of criminal activity, negotiating plea deals on their behalf and trying cases to verdict. He has handled many criminal matters pro bono.
