Amanda L. (Sexton) Pospischil, CPA/CFF, CFE, joined CMM as Controller in 2019. She oversees the accounting department and is responsible for budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, financial reporting, internal controls assessments, year-end tax planning, and managing the firm’s banking relationships. In addition to being a CPA, with her specialized credentials and licenses including CFF (Certified in Financial Forensics) and CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner), Amanda adds yet another dimension to the services CMM offers its clients.

Amanda has dedicated herself to being a trustworthy, detail-oriented, and organized professional with a passion to get things done. She has nearly 15 years of accounting experience and began her career in public accounting, primarily in the areas of accounting and auditing, business valuation and litigation support. Industries she served predominantly included law firms, construction contractors, engineering firms, wholesale and distribution, restaurants/bars, real estate, nurseries, wineries, and not-for-profit organizations. Amanda has provided expert witness testimony multiple times in the Supreme Court of the State of New York on an ongoing shareholder dispute matter. In addition, Amanda has several years of experience auditing grant programs funded by various federal, state and local agencies. Prior to joining CMM, Amanda served as Controller for a $30MM construction contractor in Suffolk County.

Amanda grew up on Long Island’s East End, in Southampton, and currently resides in Nesconset. She enjoys road cycling, hiking, and traveling in her spare time.
