Devon Palma, Esq. spearheads all recruitment and professional development initiatives for the firm as Talent and Training Manager. She also focuses on employee engagement, overseeing and executing on firm events and programs to make CMM a terrific place to work.

An attorney herself who began her legal career as a CMM summer associate, Devon is uniquely positioned to understand the firm’s hiring needs and implement the training programs required to attract and retain top-tier professionals. She is responsible for recruitment and hiring of attorneys, summer associates, paralegals, and administrative staff. She oversees CMM’s on-campus interviewing (OCI) at law schools and colleges and focuses on building relationships with universities and businesses to develop a pipeline of talent.

Devon also administers CMM’s highly regarded summer associate program, recruiting and hiring talented law students and overseeing the program once they are on board. She plans their weekly educational seminars, practice area rotations, and recreational activities to provide a snapshot of life as a CMM lawyer.

As training is a critical aspect of CMM culture for all employees, Devon also develops content for the firm’s full calendar of CLE, educational, and professional development courses.

Devon is a graduate of the State University of New York at New Paltz and Hofstra University, Maurice A. Deane School of Law. Prior to taking on her role as Talent and Training Manager, Devon was a member of the firm’s Corporate, Real Estate, and Land Use teams. Devon is also an avid golfer, and has participated in clinics and programs designed to encourage women and school-age girls to take up the sport for their personal and professional growth.
