The physical and economic toll of COVID-19 on our communities has dominated the national conversation since March, but the impact of 2020’s many challenges on our mental health is no less critical. Join us for an important conversation about the rollercoaster of emotions we’ve been feeling this year and learn ways to help manage the anxiety, fear, loneliness, and hopelessness that so many of us are experiencing.
You’ll hear from Brent Russell, LMSW, Director of Peer and Veteran Services for the Mental Health Association of Nassau County and a Desert Storm veteran. As a front line worker, he has seen the challenges faced in behavioral health and has been vital in the protocols the agency has implemented in the wake of the pandemic. Lisa Gilman, LCSW of Psychotherapy Wellness Services in Roslyn Heights and NYC will also join us to discuss strategies to effectively manage stress, depression, and anxiety. Join us to learn strategies to move forward and find purpose and empowerment in our current experiences.
