Campolo, Middleton & McCormick, LLP, a premier law firm with offices in Ronkonkoma and Bridgehampton, New York, is pleased to announce that attorney William McDonald has joined the Community Advisory Board of St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown.  McDonald chairs the firm’s Healthcare practice, giving him critical insight he will rely on to carry out his duties on the Community Advisory Board.  In this role, McDonald will promote the general welfare of the hospital by educating the public about the hospital’s improvements and special projects and sharing its plans to continue serving as a central asset in the Smithtown community.

Counsel at CMM, McDonald advises healthcare providers, practices, and hospitals in myriad issues in the ever-changing healthcare space. His work includes the defense of doctors in hospital privileges hearings and in audits initiated by Medicare Recovery Audit Contractors (“RACs”), the New York Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (“OMIG”), and private insurance companies, including out-of-network reimbursement disputes.  He also leads the firm’s Criminal Defense practice, which gives him the unique ability to assist healthcare clients who are facing criminal matters that might impact their ability to continue practicing in their field.

A longtime resident of Smithtown, McDonald received his B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Law.
